A ribbon cutting for Tropical Illusions Salon, Sal’s Fizzles Fries & Wings, Bradley’s Tropical Retreat,
Kimberly Cionni, CPA, and United Security Alarm Company all housed in the new complex at
1420 Commerce Street, Wellsburg. The ribbon cutting and open house were held on August 29, 2006 and hundreds of people attended.

Chuck Bell, Main Street Bank Vice-President of the new Wellsburg location, cut the ribbon for their new facility at 1010 Commerce Street on October 6. The grand opening was attended by Chamber members, county, city and state officials as well as local residents.

Joe Cicchirillo speaks with members of the Wellsburg Chamber of Commerce at a recent Business Luncheon offered free to chamber members on Monday, August 29 at Staffileno’s On The River. Cicchirillo spoke about the changes in West Virginia’s Worker’s Compensation Program and how the transfer of the organization from a public to a private entity will affect businesses.


A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at Little Bear Daycare, 121 Buckey Hill Road on Saturday, May 18. Owners Chris & Misty Wood just added the new outdoor play area, complete with rubber mulch, this month.

 


Several candidates for the Wellsburg general election attended the Chamber’s “Meet The Candidates” Business After Hours on May 18 at Staffileno’s On The River. Pictured from left to right (front): Bill Williams and Wayne Campbell, both mayoral candidates, and council candidates Julie Caldwell (4th Ward) and Pam Hartley (1st Ward); (back) Neil VanCamp, running for Chief of Police, and Paul Billiard (2nd Ward), Mike Mitchell (1st Ward) and Ron Griffith (3rd Ward) all running for city council seats.

 


2005 Citizen of the Year nominees: Howard Armstrong, Dan Reasner, George Wallace, Bill Furioli (winner), Steve Mitchell and Dan Holladay. Wesbanco sponsored the Citizen of the Year Reception.

 


Executive Director Kristine Roberts and Chamber President Steve Marino congratulate Citizen of the Year recipient Bill Furioli on his honor at the March 30, 2005 dinner.
